FOUR FOUR Signs The Snowdroppers

White Dress is the first single off the band’s second album Moving Out Of Eden which is slated for release early 2013.

Moving Out of Eden was produced by Richard Jackson (Future Of The Left, The Automatic, McLusky), and the result is incredible. Shedding some of the Americana and swamp leanings of their debut effort Too Late To Pray, The Snowdroppers have produced a quintessentially Australian album. Whereas the first album was the sound of a band finding its feet, Moving Out Of Eden is the sound of a band that’s found its own voice; full and resonating with a self confidence and swagger that only hundreds of gigs and a few of life’s ups and downs can produce. Forget what you think you already know about The Snowdroppers and prepare to meet your new favourite band.

White Dress, with its blues structure and humorous lyrical musing taps into an urban mindset many will identify with. The wit and themes of which continue right through this, their second album.

‘White Dress’ is available to download August 6th through FOUR | FOUR.

FOUR | FOUR signs Boy In A Box

We have just signed the amazingly awesome Melbourne band Boy In A Box!

Here is the press release:

Boy In A Box was formed late 2010 when front man Tobias ‘Tij’ Priddle took a job building recording studios and wrote ‘Moon Comes Up’ for a Blue September cancer awareness campaign on which his boss was helping out.
The band quickly picked up a slew of high rotation songs at triple j and community radio including ‘Moon Comes Up’, ‘Glitter, Gold, Ruin’ and ‘Longest Road’ as well as supporting bands such as Birds Of Tokyo, British India and Calling All Cars.
“We are extremely excited to welcome Boy In A Box to the label” said Head of ABC Music Robert Patterson, “they are an amazing live act and have a killer rock sound and energy that is truly captivating. We look forward to working with them in what is going to be an amazing career”.
Whilst it may have been a long wait for fans to hear new music, the band is back stronger than ever including full-time band mates (bassist Athan Hewett and drummer Tom Crimmins) armed with a new EP.
On My Mind is the explosive first single and title track from the new EP and will be available Monday 4th June. The single was mixed by Mark Needham (The Killers, Bloc Party, Hot Hot Heat).
The 4 track EP titled ‘On My Mind’ was recorded at Birdland Studios by iconic Melbourne producer Lindsay Gravina (Adalita, Rowland S Howard, The Living End) and will be released Friday 6th July.
First single ‘On My Mind’ is at radio and available digitally Monday 4th June
‘On My Mind’ EP is available Friday 6th July through FOUR | FOUR |
