Haters

Haters are an indie/garage 3 piece direct from Australia.

They tracked their debut record ‘NON-VIOLENT’ in Canada with producer/engineer Scott Middleton (Formerly of Cancer Bats) The first teaser premiered on BBC Radio 1 and Triple J (Aus)

Drawing inspiration from bands like Fontaines D.C., The Beths, IDLES, and The Clash, Haters has crafted a unique blend of indie, punk, and garage rock. They are filled with power, rage and aggression, but it is directed towards fighting for love and a community that survives despite the infinite challenges of simply existing. They live in direct opposition of surface level music and deliver with full honesty songs about drug addiction, suicide, loss, living with a severe mental health condition and finding yourself a group of friends in a lonely world.

Jai Sparks (vocals/guitar)
James Priest (drums)
Kaito (Kaitlyn Hold – bass/vocals)

The band’s motivation stems from the belief that their own life experiences can resonate with and help others. They redefine the term Haters by turning it into a positive force that propels individuals to create a supportive and nurturing environment. The line that has become synonymous with the band ‘I love the way that you hate me haters’ has become a call to arms for the community surrounding them.

Haters has garnered significant attention and support, receiving airplay on BBC Radio One, TOPS (Triple J), and major community and college radio across Australia, Canada and America. They recently completed a 23 date tour of Canada, with highlights including performances at NXNE (Toronto), Sled Island Festival (Calgary), and Spring Reverb Festival (Kingston).

After their hometown performance at the renowned Bigsound International Music Conference, Haters secured a global deal with the esteemed Australia-based label, Four Four.

Their debut album, titled ‘non-violent,’ is set for release early 2024, accompanied by a series of tours scheduled for Canada, the USA, UK, and Australia.
