Very excited to welcome to FOUR FOUR Melbourne band The Tiger & Me!
Press release below:
New ABC Music imprint FOUR | FOUR have been busy in recent months adding artists such as Tim Rogers, The Snowdroppers and Boy In A Box to their already impressive (and growing) roster. FOUR | FOUR have today announced that Melbourne’s The Tiger & Me will be next to join the label for the release of their second album The Drifter’s Dawn.
Before joining forces with FOUR | FOUR, The Tiger & Me collaborated with ARIA-nominated producer Steven Schram (Little Birdy, The Cat Empire, Little Red) to create their new album. The Tiger & Me’s ascension to prominence commenced with the release of their critically-lauded debut album From a Liar to a Thief in 2010, which in turn led to breakthrough appearances at Port Fairy and Apollo Bay Music Festivals. 2011 left no rest for the wicked as they toured Australia whilst releasing two EP’s of a planned 3-part series, The Howling Fire and The Silent City. The series reaches a climactic conclusion with the new album The Drifter’s Dawn, which is due for release on October 19.
The Tiger & Me will perform a special one-off show running through new material at Melbourne’s The Workers Club on September 23 before announcing an album tour later in the year.

Single support act Melbourne trio Boy In A Box opened early with their raucous, upbeat and slightly-punk take on a modern rock n roll sound. Playing to an unfamiliar crowd is always tough, but they played with the conviction and showmanship of seasoned professionals, even if the mix subtracted a little from their edge. Singer Tobias Priddle’s strong vocals and hooks had me singing along to songs I had never even heard before. Keep an eye and ear out for this band, sure to make it big sometime soon.
